HP Hood LLC
Batavia, New York
Between 2017- 2021, HP Hood LLC undertook two projects in the Town of Batavia: initially acquiring a vacant 363,000 square yogurt production facility and repurposing it for the production of lactose-reduced milk and almond milk and later installing an additional filler line to increase production capacity. The initial project included plant renovations, equipment purchases, and employee training for a total investment of over $40,000,000 and resulting in the creation of 138 jobs. Funding included $1,000,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds awarded to Genesee County by the New York State Office of Community Renewal. The subsequent expansion of production capacity included an investment in building renovations, machinery and equipment purchases, and engineering and softs costs totaling in excess of $23,000,000, including $734,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds awarded to the Town of Batavia by the New York State Office of Community Renewal. The project resulted in the creation of 196 jobs.
