South Street Neighborhood Needs Assessment

Lockport, New York

The Greater Lockport Development Corporation established the South Street Development Initiative, a community development and neighborhood revitalization effort focused on the economic empowerment and residential resurgence of the South Street Neighborhood. The Harrison Studio assisted with the development of a Community Needs Assessment for the neighborhood, which represented the first phase of this initiative. The Needs Assessment analyzed current social, demographic, economic, and physical conditions and the quality of life in the neighborhood; determined its strengths and limitations; and provided recommendations to mobilize community stakeholders in facilitating positive change in the neighborhood.
